What happened to Duncan Sheik?

Duncan Sheik, the singer-songwriter who was "Barely Breathing" back before I started high school, is the first real celebrity crush I can remember having. Well, he's resurfaced, in New York Magazine of all places, and his facial hair-mullet combo leave something to be desired, namely, a shave and a haircut. We learn in the article what Mr. Sheik, now 35, would do with $30,000, and frankly, it is immensely boring. He would buy olive oil, nice clothing, tickets to Hawaii and Mexico, notebooks...OK, must stop, am falling asleep. But the good news is, Duncan has a girlfriend, which makes him perhaps the only crush I had while in my early teens who did not turn out to play for the other team.
