Nerdy graffiti

In a payphone booth at the Fondation des Etats-Unis in Paris, a dorm where many University of Chicago students live while studying abroad, someone had written, "Le Reg me manque." ("I miss the Reg.") Until today, that was the dorkiest bit of graffiti I'd ever laid eyes on. But then, while in astrophysics lab this afternoon, I noticed that someone had doodled on the computer part of a separate-computer-and-monitor PC. There was a small square-shaped indent on the mostly-blank side (i.e. not the side with disk drives), just a part of the computer's design, and someone had, with a pencil, written an "x" on the side of the square, another "x" atop the square, and, in the center of the square, "x²".
