And they even follow the American pattern--the blue states are internationalist, urban (except for Brittany), and have a larger black population (courtesy of the Départements d'Outre-Mer).
From my myopic American perspective, I feel the French lost an opportunity to seize global power from the U.S. to Europe. What are your thoughts?

Why should they pick different colors... red and blue are the colors of their flag too...
