...and my job hunt continues. I found this among the listings: DOMESTIC VIOLENCE COORDINATOR. What would that entail? Making sure that the husband has had enough to drink and a belt nearby by the time his wife and kids get home? I didn't realize that much coordination went into domestic violence. Eh. I'd imagine it's hard to convey what a job would entail in just three words or so. But a word like PREVENTION, strategically placed, would do wonders.

It's the same principle functioning as with organized crime.
Uncoordinated domestic violence is simply less efficient.
More than one of my jobs has required "Sexual Harrassment Training", which I always thought odd.
The university at which I work has a Graduate Certificate in Domestic Violence. At the time that the Graduate Council was reviewing the program for approval, I and another person suggested that the name could use some fine-tuning. Others didn't see/ hear a problem with it, and so students are now awarded graduate certificates in Domestic Violence, suitable for framing. -- JM
