Why? A non-service fellowship of some sort for now on? Something nice like that, I hope.
My teaching requirement was for three years, and this was year three, so next year I'm on fellowship.
I found that, at first, when I had no teaching obligation and no classes (when I was just dissertating) I had a hard time keeping myself organized and moving forward on my work. It's quite possible that you don't have that problem, but if you suspect you might, I'd suggest working out a good schedule and trying hard to keep on it. That's what turned out to be necessary for me. Otherwise it was just too easy to say "well, tomorrow will be just as good as today." Otherwise, enjoy the fellowship years!
Sound advice, although I have to say this is not quite my first time receiving some variant of it for the post-teaching year(s). We'll see how next year goes...
