Called several driving schools in Brooklyn, and left messages with a bunch. Found one that's actually in my zip code. Called the number listed on the Citysearch page.
Man on the other end: Hello?
Me: I'd like to find out about taking driving lessons.
Man: (pauses) Nooo.
Me: No?
Man: (hangs up)
You'd go to Paris to really learn French. Why not come to Houston for some personalized driving lessons?
ReplyDeleteSounds like something that should be on Overheard in New York
ReplyDeleteWhy not just have someone teach you? Pay them in Starbucks. Hell, I just bought a Nissan Maxima, I'd teach you, but I am a little confused as to where this "Brooklyn" you speak of is.
ReplyDeleteNo one I know has a car! If you and your Nissan Maxima (I'm assuming, from having watched enough TV commercials and from the context, that this is a car) are in NYC, let me know.
ReplyDeleteyou have to take driving lessons from my driving instructor, andrew. he is the most amazing person ever. 1. he looks exactly like goran visjnik or whatever from er and 2. amy fine collins of vanity fair wrote a book about him called the god of driving. he teaches at grand prix driving school or i think his cell number is 6469323906. and i passed perfectly. he's super super good
